We develop the majority of our solutions using the Microsoft .Net Framework connecting to a Microsoft SQL Server database.
The full range of development technologies we use include:
- .Net Framework 1.1 and 2.0
- Windows Forms application development using no-touch or click-once deployment
- ASP.Net Web Forms development for access by external staff, customers or partners
- .Net Web Services for integration with external datasources
- Mostly VB.net with some C#
- MS SQL Server 2000 & 2005
- Transact SQL
- SQL Server Reporting Services for reporting solutions
- DTS or SSIS for data-pumping, cleaning and integration
- OLAP processing for reporting and business intelligence solutions
- MSDE/SQL Express where appropriate
- MS Access is used for user ad-hoc querying and end-user reporting directly from a SQL Server backend data store
- MS Excel add-in tools built to access backend data and present it within spreadsheets
